If you live in one of the 120 nations that is a member of the Non-Aligned Movement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-Aligned_Movement#Current_members) please take photographs of your kitchen toaster sporting a boing ball logo and upload them to BBOAH (post them here too!), proudly knowing that your appliance is an officially sanctioned and legitimate* Amiga product in this wonderful co-operative economic bloc of 120 member nations.
I'm particularly interested in old kitchen toasters from Socijalistička Federativna Republika Jugoslavija / Социјалистичка Федеративна Република Југославија so please feel more than free to raid your Grandmothers kitchen if you live in one of the post-Jugoslav states. Photos with a proud smiling granny holding her Amiga toaster will be even more appreciated.
As the CEO of Commodore Amiga Iran and sole legitimate owner of the Trademark "Amiga" in the Non-Aligned Movement, I hereby bestow unlimited and irrevocable licences upon the members of Amiga.org to retroactively apply the Amiga trademark to their own personal kitchen toaster and post photos and technical details on BBOAH.

Haha. Good one. :drink:

I have no idea what you're going on about here. Have a picture of my desk, instead. Can you spot the boing ball? ;)

By definition they are uncooperative. A lot of them don't even meet the commitments for human rights with their own people, that is required to be a member of the NAM.

this gets my usual google+ answer: fart
sigh :(

If you can find an SFRJ era model I'll be one very happy chappy. We've asked our family in BiH but no one has one at all. :(

Amiga 500 budget Toster model by EI Nis ...
Now to add it to BBOAH :D

This looks shopped.
I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.
;)

Can think of one place that used shopped images to try and flog things :)

Yay! :)
But they only accept contributions from people who took the photo AFAIK.

A great tradition in the NG Amiga business if ever there was one! ;)

Tile. No self-respecting IT shop would use carpet, LOL. ;)

That's because we all bought German toasters when the state collapsed :P
Best kitchen appliances were made by Slovenians (Gorenje) and since it was
them that led us all to ruins nobody would buy anything from them for a
while ...
Seriously , if AOS 4 zealots have taken over BBOAH I see no point in using the site anymore ... I'll just ignore those silly history rewrites

From what I hear most bought German when they could even before the collapse, especially the "exported workforce".
I won't tell my Slovenian friend what you said, I'll never hear the end of it, even if it is mostly true. ;)
amiga.resource.cx is better anyway.

Yes , standard was good enough in SFRJ so people could afford to go to Germany and buy wonderful things as ZX and C64 and later Amigas ...
I didn't think Slovenians as a nation , slovenian politicians at the time made actions that led to this sad states that we live nowdays ...
Of course Serbian politicians were more than willing to help in creating the whole mess ...
Ex non-aligned countries seem to still be the target by the current world rulers for some reason , probably because of their socialist nature ...
But let's not go OT shall we ...

Nice workshop, I wish I had the room for one like that! :(

And it stamps every piece of toast with a colorful checkmark (no other toast-branding has COLOR!) :D

Oh, that's true. The static build-up would be atrocious. :o
Unless they had special anti-static carpet. Or, even better: AMIGA-branded anti-static carpet (they are working on that--it'll be out in two weeks). :quickdraw:

It's also about the intention behind Vox wanting to do this.
It's religious, no matter what he may claim to the contrary.
Should I as a Muslim who accepts Jesus Christ as the Messiah try to have Islamic stuff added to an encyclopedia of Christianity just because we have a shared heritage? No, it's a ridiculous idea just like this one.
Vox is so desperate to justify his purchase of an X1000 as being a genuine Amiga he is on a personal crusade to rewrite history.
CUSA had a legitimate licence of the Amiga trademark yet Vox went ballistic in his previous crusade against them as not being worthy of the holy name.
He is a hypocrite of the highest order..
Its very nice we do share a common heritage.
Now, since it has been presented that its not my secret plan to update BBOAH (as I have claimed for the strart) I do believe you own me a BIG BIG public apology.
No, I am not gonna abused my granny and her toasters. NAM still exists, and I loved a visit to Park of Peace, Belgrade to recall their first Conference in Belgrade when all the world leaders have planted a tree of peace. Some of them are quite big and nice these days.
Beside that, ever heard of Abrahamic religions? Similarly to our situation, most common monotheistic religions
do share the same root and there are books that include all their prophets, similarities and differences.

One father Abraham (in our case Jay Miner) but many offsprings live up to this days.

Methinks you didn't even read the link in the post of mine you quoted.
Particularly the part that reads:

I don't have a toaster :o

The amount religion gets dragged into things on this site is getting very offputting :/
-

Particularly the part that reads:
Parallel is that all 3 major religions do have much common ground:
diety they believe in is about the same, with different names, customs and lineage. They themselves admitting in finding common ground in Old Testament.
And here is no "Forced conversion" parallel. I do believe everyone has a right on his choice and opinion, and that everything that is related to recent development should be included. However, BBOAH owner, in all flamme wars you have started or contributed, decide to narrow the definition.
However, with some contribution and not just conspiracism, that might change.

Perhaps you weren't told when you decided to join our community, Amiga *is* a religion.
But if you don't like people using analogies to demonstrate a point may I suggest therapy? ;)
-
*our* community, as in yours? Guess those Amiga users groups meetings I went to in the late 80's, the half a dozen+ Amigas I have owned owned over the span of 23 years don't make me part of the exclusive boys club, eh...
You're a real charmer, Nicolas. Someone mentions the increasing religious talk is sorta weird and out of place on a computer forums site, and you crack out the idea that they should have their heads examined. Guess I'm old fashioned that way, I come to the "Amiga Hardware Issues and discussion" section to read about exactly that, not religious comparisons.
Whatever floats your boat, I suppose.

I have a toaster, but no boing-ball logo. Can I use jam instead?

Join date: 2009. So yes you are new to the amiga.org community but you missed the point entirely. I even used an emoticon to make it clear.

Another American that doesn't understand sarcasm?
Who'd have thought it possible? ;)

I give you permission to use jam but it has to be Damson. :)
