Hi everyone!
I need opinion for what would be the best way to connect old non-flickerfixer equipped Amiga to my everyday pc;
http://hothardware.com/Reviews/HP-TouchSmart-600-Review/?page=2
http://hothardware.com/articleimages/item1429/big_hp-touchsmart-600-left-side-view-compartment.jpg
The purpose for this, is that I like to tinker around with old hardware, but I need good screen for this. I don't want to drag my old RGB 1084S on the table, so I'm asking, what is my options with this?
I already managed to connect Amiga using A520mod to Video input port. Picture isn't as I prefer it to be. This machine have TV-antenna input, but regrettably no SCART.
I'm thinking, will these SCART-to-HDMI adapter boxes work?

Or am I stuck with TV-mod?

You could get one of the RGB to Svideo converters, it should give you good picture quality. On the bottom of his page.

To utri007:
And now in English please, so everyone can read it? Thanks :)
Example of how annoying this kind of thing is:
Dit is een Nederlandse zin die de meeste mensen hier niet kunnen lezen.

Thats why I add some pictures, to make it more confortable for non finnish speaking people ;)

Although I haven't read Dutch, this resembled so much of German that this wasn't difficult to understand. ;)

No problems with my school German. Een Oude, proost!

That's very funny. But seriously. Someone has a problem and asks for a solution. The solution is now in a non-English language that most here can't read, making the answer useless to most people. Now when someone has a similar problem and they do a search, they'll find your thread, think 'Great!' only to find out it's in a language they can't read.
Post in English on an English forum. Not too much to ask, right? Or send a PM ;)

You two aren't most people on the board :p

Yeah,
My native language is not English, but the forum is in English, and i can understand.
Regards!.

I had no problems with read finnish :p
Well, to be honest, it wasn't first time i see something else than english language here, but first time for me to see something written in finnish. So what's the point, no one heard anything about something like google translate or similar web pages?
Eihän se nyt niin vaikeaa ole :D

Shouldn't need that on an English page.

Sort of overblowing things regarding semantics about languages.
If the OP got a clear answer to his questions in a language that was easier for him to understand, it's not going to keep me up nights browsing through a post or two in a language I can't comprehend, even if A.org is an English based forums.
If the fellow got his questions answered, that's good as gold to me. Life is too short to get pissy about some guy posting in Finnish :)

You're wrong, it is primarily a matter of courtesy to respect the official language of the forum, no matter what language he speaks. Why should the majority of readers be plagued with translations, just because he's obviously too lazy to do it by himself?
-
It did not bother me to much about the reply being in the op's native tongue, but out of interest i put the reply through a translator and parts make no sense, so next time i won't bother and will just skip that particular post, so i can understand why it annoy's some people as they can't understand it with or without a translator.

Revenir sur le sujet?
Not sure about that one, but I have one of these and it works beautifully on HDMI:

Exactly, although they should have written the reply in English from the get go ;)
so i can understand why it annoy's some people as they can't understand it with or without a translator.
It isn't really about that. It's about the fact that people make non-English posts (while they and the OP both know English!) in an English forum. It makes about as much sense as me posting in Dutch on a Turkish forum.

Moi!
Kylläpä porukka kävi kuumana kun suomeksi vastasit, huh! ;) Well, thanks anyway for reply. It was really very nice of you.
I actually have made myself one quality SCART cable and I do have enough flat Tv's for that. THE problem of current situation is that I DON'T want any TV's or old RGB monitors on my crowded table. I do have Amiga w/ Indivision AGA in it, so that's no prob either. What I'm really after is really nice quality picture solution with given equipment. I mean, when I dig out ANY Amiga -model I like to play with, I need it to be able to connect to this PC marvel. ;)
Actually,
You could get one of the RGB to Svideo converters, it should give you good picture quality. On the bottom of his page.

I need to try something like this, but would be very tempting to order other of his nice stuff... Thank you guys!
Or maybe this;

Anyway, it's cool so many people responded to this, but even more astonishing is this hot reaction about native language use. Understanably so many are against use of native language.
-
The best way to connect an Amiga to a modern monitor is with an Indivision, IMHO. ;)

Those new HP "all in one" abominations Don't have a very good display however. I guess the OP can indeed save space. I wish him all the luck in the world....
