Title: A couple of problems with Voodoo 5 on Mediator
Post by: JohnFante on August 11, 2013, 05:29:46 AM
I am having a couple of strange problems with my A4000D, CSPPC, with Mediator 4000Di MK2, Voodoo 5, 10MB ethernet and SB128.

Often the Voodoo turns on the monitor but it does not display a picture just stops before the picture. I have to reset (sometimes more than once) to get it to boot properly.

I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. I am running OS3.9 with BB4.

My MedReport is here:

And my user-startup is here:

I also have another problem. I can not get WarpOS prefs to accept the my gfx. adress.

I use pciinfo from the install CD to get this info:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/139090/pciinfo.png

I take the MemSpace1 settings (without the $) - 48000000 - and insert in in WarpOS prefs (using the option for the exact address), save and reboot.

When I open WarpOS prefs the setting has changed to 0000000. Is that normal?

Besides this my system works fine. In OS4.1 Classic everything works flawlessly.

Any suggestions?

This (http://eab.abime.net/903782-post125.html) advice didn't help?

btw. the MedReport-link doesn't work.

I tried the scout advice but so far with no success. It changes to 000000. I have also tried changing some of the variables but so far with no success. I will continue testing.

Regarding PPClibEMU it is all right. It says 0.9 until PowerPC.library is activated then changes. As far as I can see in the documentation it is supposed to do that.

The other problem was the Voodoo not starting proberly not related to gaming (as far as I know) so I did not want to bother you with that. :-)

Thank you for all your help.
