Was it really that bad? Seemed okay at the time. Now watching this video, ouch! Poor Pacman, at least Amiga versions of Pacman like this one did the arcade machines justice.

It really was that bad - I've heard it listed as one of the key factors in the Crash of '83, along with the more infamous E.T.

Crazily, though, Ms. Pac-Man got a significantly better port. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEVowv1FQqo) Still nothing like arcade-quality, but at least it was playable.
