Just quick question , ACA 1232 need cooler fan install for long life cpu ? or not ?
which is Your opinion

I did build a larger copper heatsink 2,5x larger then the stock aluminium heatsink for my aca-1231 because I was not comfortable with how hot it ran and now it runs cool and nice even with trapdoor closed :) Before the new heatsink it was to hot to put my finger on for more then a few seconds. But seems im a unlucky person who got heat issues with everything in my A1200, the Invivision AGA MK2 made my Lisa run so hot that the system would not be stable for more then a minute :(
Everyone told me it was not needed, but I like to keep my hardware cool and im planning on keeping em forever so extra cooling do never hurt.

You could never have enough cooling. The more cooling the better. It might make the life of the product last longer.

Yup, maybe it's not needed, but it is most certainly welcome :)

A picture would be nice :)
Myself want to add a fan on the 2mm copper heatsink but I can't find anything slim enough to let me have the trapdoor closed then, was planning on drilling holes in the trapdoor if I could get anything to fit, even ordered a slim laptop exaust fan that was built inside copper, but there are not many mm free between the CPU and the trapdoor :(
Edit: I tried these and they are only 5mm but still to thick to close the trapdoor :(

Thanks for the pics :) Nice to see someone else who needs to cool Lisa after installing a indivision aga mk2, I had heavy heat issues after installing it and had to add a fan directly over lisa :/

That's great :D What happens if you remove the fan on Lisa? I get system crash within a minute or two and it's hot snough to fry a egg there if I remove the fans :)
I myself use WB3.1 but have a CF with 3.9 but I get color artefacts using 3.9 and a flashing screen when clicking drawers so kept 3.1 since it got all I need :)
Edit: Can share a few pics on how it looks for me next week, at work now and wont be home untill then and sadly Underground-Gamer the best retro gaming private tracker ever recently died due to legal matters and they hosted all my Amiga pics :(
