Title: New version 3.10 AmigaAmp
Post by: SysAdmin on July 29, 2013, 09:00:27 PM
Download via AmiUpdate or from http://www.amigaamp.de/

Features

Amiga OS4 native

AmigaAMP 3 is completely AmigaOS4 native giving you the performance you'd expect from a fast PowerPC system. In addition to MPEG audio and AIFF/WAVE support it can play FLAC as well. OGG support is in the works.   AHI compatible.

PowerUP and WarpUP Compatible
In addition to the 68k decoder AmigaAMP 2 comes with two PPC native decoding engines one for PowerUP and one for WarpUP. Both engines feature high quality realtime decoding of Layer2 and Layer3 streams, graphic equalizer settings and full visualisation.

On a PPC604e-200 you can play two 128kbps Layer3 streams with equalizer switched on and crossfade between the two without taking much CPU load! The realtime analyzers will continue to run smoothly without any latency problems at all.

Light my Fire

Too bad they don't update the 68k version anymore.  It could use some updating...

I really like the 68k version and use it daily with MHI.  It is very stable, but it could use better initial play handling and some minor cleanup.

Yep too bad, almost everything is OS4/MOS these days (that is still good!), forgetting the 68k. Same with Warp3D for Radeon on classics - no have.

I made some skins for AMInetRadio 10 years ago, they are still available for download. Seems they are the most downloaded ones

Does it work with MHI?  How does it compare to AmigaAmp?

I've no idea mate.  I just use it on MorphOS to play oldskool chip tunes with the various plugins.
