Hi to all. Recently been getting back into my Amigas and started to realise how much old and new development has passed me by. I hope to catch-up on things here & offer any help I can to others (this might be a bit limited though).

I have a 20yr old A1200 + Magnum II 68040 & 4mb RAM & a CD32. Very recently I got a 2nd A1200 from ebay and added an Amigabay 4Mb CF game card & a Hawk 8mb RAM card. I confess I mostly wanted to get back into some of those games. Having looked over my collection of old cover CDs I find I have a lot of music programs which I would quite like to explore as well now as I never really looked at them before!

I must also confess to an Atari STFM which I am still quite fond of.

Have lots of questions but will try to restrain myself a bit. Glad to be here!

Welcome to A.org and I am sure you will find the answers ! Even after all those years, Amiga is still a mysterious beast !

Always glad to see a new member. Quite new myself, so, yeah, welcome !

-
Just to show how out of touch I am I found my 68040 board actually has 32Mb of RAM not 4, which is an unexpected bonus!

Welcome, the more users the better the journey, everyone has a helpful hint or advice about the Amiga.

Thirty two meg of memory is a lot better than four meg (bonus) and your Amiga will appreciate the extra memory and will provide a lot more accessibility to multi tasking and loading programs..

Yeah - is one of them "Is my A1200 better than my Atari STFM"? Because if it is it'll be a short debate. :)

My Atari kept me going until I could finally afford an A500 (Screen  Gems pack if I remember right). Was blown away by the difference though.  Will try to post questions in the right place. A few I think will be about how  to get other bits of gear working with my Amigas.

Magnum II is nice accelerator, but you should get some more memoro to it. It is repacked Apollo 040, so it can be picky with sim modules.
