Title: SOLVED: Indivision ECS VGA Rolling Distorted Picture?
Post by: DiskChris on July 13, 2013, 03:04:24 PM
I installed my indivision ecs finally and well I can always see the Indivision Logo on my monitor clearly, half the time the picture is distorted and rolling...but then it seems to randomly work just fine after a couple resets.  I did notice that the ECS doesn't seem to fit all the way in the socket, but I pushed as hard as I could and that seems to be about where it stays...all the pins line up properly, and I don't want to try pulling it out to experiment if I don't have to since that socket is getting rather frail...Besides, I always have a clear image of the logo, and I never have any problems when outputing via composite...So everything *should* be seated properly right?

Turned out to be the monitor...guess those missing pins might have been important!  Weird it works when plugged into a PC...

Ha!  Yeah, that'll do it.  ;)  Indivision ECS is a great piece of kit, make sure yours is upgraded to the 1.10 firmware so you can use the new modes like 800x600x16 colors.  Have fun!  :)
