Since today DigiBoosterPro 2.21 is available in the online shop of APC&TCP at a discounted price.
Of course DigiBoosterPro 2.21 will continue as usual to be available on CD.
DigiBooster 3 is a music tracker. Its history has roots in ancient times of Amiga. Amiga was the
first popular computer having stereo PCM audio output. Then it had a potential to be used as a
device for making music. This potential has been fully exploited. The Ultimate Soundtracker was the
first in 1987. NoiseTracker was the second in 1989. ProTracker had beat'em up in 1991. Amiga was
getting faster processors. Multichannel software mixing was a logical step forward. Tomasz and
Waldemar Piasta have done this step in 1998 creating DigiBooster Pro 2. It has been later bought by
APC&TCP.

Has this release been tweaked to work with MorphOS straight out of the box, or is DBProHelpder still required?

Isn't Krashan the developer of DBPro now?
I'd hazard a guess he'd make it work on MOS out of the box, but I could be wrong. :)

What is the reason one might buy v2 instead of v3? 68k support?

I dunno, I just thought I'd show some support in hopes that 3 will eventually get released. ;)
Since there is no MorphOS tweaks, I guess I'll just wait for 3 and keep my fingers crossed.

DigiBooster Pro 2.21 works on MorphOS after applying DBProHelper (http://morphos-files.net/find.php?find=dbprohelper) patch to it. I've tested it succesfully on Pegasos 2, PowerMac 3,3 and Mac mini.

DigiBooster 3 has M68k version (http://digibooster.eu/en/download.php) too, there are some differencies however:
- version 3 requires system 3.x, while 2.21 runs on 2.04+
- version 3 requires MUI, 2.21 not
- version 3 is much slower than 2.21, mainly because it uses more advanced and higher quality playback engine, also MUI contributes to CPU load. While 2.21 starts to be usable on 68030@50, version 3 requires 68060@50 as absolute minimum, preferrably with a graphic card, and in fact it is only comfortable to use on a reasonably fast emulator.
- version 3 lacks some features of 2.21. Part of these features will be added later, some of them will never come back. On the other hand 2.21 lacks some nice features of 3.0... ;-)

Ordered, awaiting download link. :)
