Richard Melick has developed VIC-VODER, a new speech synthesizer that connects to the user port of the Commodore VIC-20, C64, or C128. With VIC-VODER, the user can create programs that speak natural English and use programs that already incorporate a speech component, such as the Scott Adams’ series of adventure games.
