Picked this up from a fellow a while back.
Has original 52Mb drive and 1Mb RAM installed.
Tried it on several A500's versions 5 and 6a with and without other expansions.
KS 1.3, 2.1, and 3.0.
All but 1 when I move the mouse, it starts down and right! The one that works properly is 1.3, but when I try it with another 1.3, mouse takes a dive!
Checked dip switches and they're correct.
Power off and pull the XP and power back up, everything works perfectly!
When I tried it with a 3.1, I did get a report of a bad expansion board.
Any suggestions on fixing this POS?
Thanks,
Curtis

I would expect it to work with any 1.3 rom.
IIRC, the stock rom was only compatible with 1.3. TJLazer (frequents this site) sells an updated rom for the 500XP. I believe it will allow OS3.1, larger hard drives, and removable media. He can tell you more.
I have a 500XP that will be partnered with a Turbo28 when I have space to set up the system. :)

Well, seeing how I really don't have time to get hip deep in another project, I think I'll put this up on ebay starting at a $1 and see what happens.
Metal is in good shape and, heck, the hard drive may be good. See if I get any takers!
Of course, it'll be AS IS!

IMHO, the 500XP was one of the better sidecar peripherals. If I didn't already have one, I'd buy it from you myself.
Where are all of those jokers, who blame all of our communities ills on hoarding, when you need 'em. ;)

Another double post?
