i have followed all the directions to convert the file ..cool edit pro was a monster to work out so i have used a diif prog to convert the video sound file back to a 8 bit wav ..to the last bit putting it all back together an i discover avi4hv prog needs win32 or dos..so on my windows xp it doesnt work ..any ideas ..diff converting program..?? dont know what im doing here ..just following the directions to convert a movie to play on amiga ..

WinXP is Win32.
Also, alternatively you could just encode using cinepak. Movies still run nicely on a real amiga, but are about 1/10th of the size.

AVI4HV works on my 32bit XP installation. Are you 64bit XP? Could that be why it's not working? You do know you have to run it from the command prompt don't you? You can't run it from windows, but you can access the command prompt from windows from Start menu -> Run -> "cmd", or alternatively load it from Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt and then "cd" to your AVI4HV command location.
