Hi,
Does anyone possibly know:-
1) Where I can get a FaaastROM upgrade for a GVP A500-HD8+
2) What the largest capacity harddrive is for the "latest" FaaastROM?
Kind regards,
Chris

Unless you can find the GuruROM (and required adapter), the latest version is 4.15. You can get a 4.15 ROM from tjlaser on ebay or amibay, he might be on here, as well, for a reasonable price (I think I paid under $15 for mine). I'm using a 4GB CF in my GVP unit, keep partition size under 2GB, no issues. You may be able to go larger if you use SFS or PFS (or OS 3.9) instead of FFS, but may need the GuruROM for that, I'm not sure.

Here's a couple links:
tjlaser's ROM:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amiga-4091-GVP-or-Supra-Series-III-SCSI-ROM-update-/130935986408?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item1e7c6498e8
And some jack-hole is selling the GuruROM for the princely sum of $204.75, here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GURU-ROM-for-Amiga-GVP-SCSI-Controller-s-and-030-040-Accelerator-s-Super-Rare-/221236834507?pt=UK_VintageComputing_RL&hash=item3382be30cb
I'd go with the first option, personally. ;)

Thanks for those links. I've ordered tjlaser's ROM. That GuruROM is WAY too pricey!
