Post by: Ryu on February 04, 2004, 12:07:34 AM
Topic says it all I guess, anyone know if there is any SNMP tools for the Amiga, specifically an event viewer... would be handy so I could view my routers logs here, esspecially after being DoS'ed all night long tonight it would be handy to have.

What I don't understand is how they got your IP?

Anyway if they were trying a DOS couldn't you just pull offline and get a new IP?

they were getting it through my DynDNS account. I did stop it by unplugging and getting a new IP, but as soon as I brought my amiga online, and thus updating my dyndns address it started up again. I have posted many links on here linking to my dyndns address when ive been helping people, such things as screengrabs and the like... either way I have had to disable the updating of my dyndns address for now, infact I redirected it right back at one of the ip's the flood was coming from :-D

I've been looking for SNMP tools for my UPS for a while too, but it seems that they don't exist on AmigaOS. If you have an A1 with linux installed sitting around, or have Linux APUS on your BPPC Amiga, they might come in useful.
