just curious ..i have started to accumilate a few original vcds to play on the cd32/fmv ....never really thought about it till i bought a more recent type movie but i guess im right in saying that ill only ever get stereo sound an never 5.1 etc as the fmv card wouldnt be able to encode it ?? or is it only doing the mpeg pics an no sound?
is there a movie player ?? ..i know the cd32 generally just auto starts an gives a menu or plays ..just curious ..

You find all the answers to the CD32 here.

You'll only get stereo sound because the CD32 only has stereo outputs.

No, you actually could get Dolby Pro Logic if you connect your CD32 to hifi system. it uses phase shifting to produce 4.0 sound. If the content you play has that encoded it will work.
EDIT:
And before somebody dogs Pro Logic, I'll still say that it sounds a lot more realistic than just stereo...
