Newest version 1.6.0 is here:
http://www.aros-platform.de/html/distribution_download.html
It contains a lot of improvements:
MMU-support (boots with 68040/68060 and MMU but without 32-Bit RAM)
Extended debugging (WinuaeEnforcer works)
better classic hardware support (f.e. ATA for A1200/4000)
Faster (expecially Memory allocation)
Bugs removed (f.e. Prefs work now)
Amiblitz fully works
System-Files updated
Generally I have removed some of the included software to get it little leaner

Great, but what happens with the Classic link? It doesn't work anymore.
I would like to try this on a real machine...

I have reduced the size (and will propably reduce it more in the next version). It is so to say the "classic version". And for RTG you need P96 installed in it.

Will this work with following old board:
http://www.viaembedded.com/en/products/boards/21/1/EPIA_(EOL).html
Can anyone tell me if Via EPIA 5000 hardware is full supported?

This *specific* AROS distribution won't work on that board - it's for Amiga m68k only.

If anyone ever plays Total Chaos AGA 7 on AROS I would sincerely like to know if it runs or not.
Total Chaos is AFAIK the only Amiga game that uses AmigaOS Parent/Child screens. I am wondering if those actually work with AROS680x0 or not.

I think I tested it some time ago and it did not work. There were a lot of changes so I will test it again

On your board you need X86. If Linux work on it at least Linux hosted should work. I do not know if alll components are supported. Better you ask on aros-exec.org again

If u do a test, then please make sure JIT is on with lots of RAM. Basically set WinUAE to maximum performance settings.
What version of winuae do u currently run on ur machine?
I have a definite interest in all flavors of AROS but my primary interest is in 680x0 flavor for now.
Your distro looks better and better all the time. Giving AmikitOS some competition :)
Amikit runs Total Chaos AGA and Amikit has gazillions patches and enhancements. Luckily Jan only allows things in that don't wreck the OS compatiblity.
Total Chaos should start and up and play the music and display a title screen with text at the bottom saying if it found FPU or not and that it will spend 6 minutes decompressing the audio files. If parent/child screens are broken then you will prob not see the gfx of the title screen or it will look wrong somehow but the music should play perfectly and the RAM: disk should work and everything else should really work.
