Title: UPS breakage is a good thing sometimes
Post by: royalcrown on June 03, 2013, 05:09:20 AM
@danbeaver, because of UPS, I got a refund from shipper, but I found a KB finally...AND:

THREE more KB's
Three mice
A 2000 with super agnes and toaster, 2mb chip 4 fast

A 3000d with toaster and 8mb I think, plus a bag of 8mb zips
2 more 3000s for parts, but he said they are almost complete, and 1 may be fixable.
Toaster for 3000

Pretty mint A1200 (escom) 32mb with 030, 8gb CF, pcmcia adapter with wifi Card (not sure on wifi card yet, may be in bonus box.)

Also a bonus box:
Amiga 520 modulator in box, with all parts
amiga 25 to 9 pin cables
A500 power power supply
floppy drives galore
Buddha IDE card
Scsi drive (maybe)
4000 daughter board
2 68040 accelerator
some kind of rtg (spectrum he thinks)
disks and other stuff, manuals

Had to make a road trip but got a lot of stuff, he seemed like a collector or future collector and just has too much toy wise and no time.

Ooh, you are going to sink into a hole pretty quick here!  Beware of the A3000, as they have a bite with big teeth. Your bonus box has a few goodies if they work (RTG, BuddhaIDE, 68040's [A3640?]).  Working they can be sold of swapped for an A4000. Some folks value the A3000's -- and you can tell who by their missing fingers and general pale look from blood loss.

Yeah a3640's and spectrum 28/24 . I forgot the Emplant card...I know ppl don't like it but I like macs too so maybe some system 7 love is coming.

He bought this stuff when he was feeling nostalgic and doesn't have time because he has "toys" stacked floor to ceiling and tons of computers ! He was really cool and knows his stuff so I was surprised he did not sell it. He said he did not want to screw with shipping (to0 much hassle) so he just had a fire sale and I got all of it.

I skinned a finger already on the goodie box, I need to finish looking in there, there is MORE than what I listed !

Gonna be testing for a few days ! sure first none, to broken to a pile of amigas..:D

The A2000hd seller refunded me every penny incl. ship...so it was worth 5 hrs to go get this.

Gonna use that tank mouse on the 2000 I think.

Working A3640's will bring $100 each, the Spectrum (a great card) would fetch $200 if you decide not to keep it, the Emplant with Mac ROMs another $100, and the Buddha a minimum of $100 (more depending on the model). Personally I'd keep the Spectrum and Buddha and one A3640 for the working (hopefully) A3000.

The Escom A1200 with 030 is a bit of a wanted item in the US, and would bring about $300+ (less in Europe).

Enjoy.
