thanks Jens! my order is in:pint:
-
Thanks for the order!
-
Will it work on an A4000 in a Power Tower Mediator 4000 installation. If so I will order one.
-
Just placed my order... :)
-
Thanks for your order
@shaf
No it wont, sorry.

What stands the "cr" for?
-
Knowing Commodore's model I'll guess it's 'Cost Reduced'
-
I want to know what the difference between the cr and the first version has.
The CR version doesn't fit out of the box in an A4000T and the connector from the Indivision.
The DVI connector isn't mounted on a small PCB, but is a custom made cable.

Another indivision? its a joke? things like 1280x1024 may work on the mk1... but 150eur for minimal updates dont sound good, just my opinion.

So, how is this new DVI connector mounted to the case, then? Please don't say "not at all"!

I guess you'll have to dremel a hole to match the DVI connector in the small cover on the back of the A1200 Desktop and a couple of small holes to secure the connector with the cover screws. Or, drill a couple of small holes in the bottom of the case on either side of the connector and use a couple tie wraps. I rather liked the DVI connector circuit board cause there was a hole in it for a securing nut & bolt that matched an existing recessed hole in the desktop case bottom that worked perfect.
I also noticed that most all websites that sell the Indie AGA have been updated with the new model but, isn't the Vesalia site http://www.vesalia.de/e_indivisionagamk2.htm a direct contradiction with the new model NOT working with the 4000T? As opposed to what Jens says here... http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=890902&postcount=2216

Dammit!
I just seen that picture of it.. What the hell? No little circuit board for the DVI output? Might have to cancel the pre-order...
-
What stands the "cr" for?
it stands for "crusty" which is why I'm happy I have the original MK2
-
I went to the website, all of them, and I can't see a way to pre-order the item.
Correction:
It was Chrome. I opened the site in another browser and the Pre-Order button was there.
-
No reason to get this one when I have an MK2.
Tho I would be happy for a FW update soon (waited quite some time) so positioning when using DVI will get fixed and VGA banding (that's why I don't use VGA) :/

Thanks a bunch, feel a bit ashamed that I have missed that, I blame my new time consuming job ;)
Ill give it a swirl directly!

I just wish that Jens would post the config tool on his website, or AmiNet.
Seriously, why does it seem like everyone in the Amiga community wants to use forums to post software?

+1 to this! Same thing for the Indivision ECS software and firmware update, which I had to download from three different forum locations.
And on an unrelated note, nice new hardware! If I had an A1200 or 4000T I'd snap one up right away. Seems "you can't please all the people all the time" holds especially true in the Amiga market, but still pretty neat. ;-)

There is no contradiction at all...in fact...if you toke your time and read slowly you will find that what is written in vesalia is correct and matches with what Schoenfeld (http://eab.abime.net/member.php?u=18217) said.
Here let me quote what vesalia said "(*) Important Note:
Installation in the A4000T requires the replacement of the electrolytic capacitor CE164C with a lower-profile type. " This is what Schoenfed said "The new version "Indivision AGA MK2cr" uses a different connector for the DVI cable. It gets in the way of electrolytic capacitor CE164C in the A4000T. If you want to use the new version in the A4000T, you need to replace that capacitor with a lower-profile ceramic type."
If you noticed...there what he is saying that the new Indivision AGA MK2cr does indeed work with A4000T it just you need to replace the capacitor with a lower-profile ceramic type. Vesalia said in it's notes in order to use it with your A4000T you need to replace CE164C with a lower-profile type.

There is actually even a newer beta version available:

This archive doesn't include the cores however, so you new the above 1.1 version as well.
Cheers,
Adrian

Where did you find the Indivision ECS update? Can you post links here?
-
Yes its a pain in the ass tracking drivers and softwares on amiga forums (especially when in german) I sincerely hope that these amiga vendors ship the units with the latest drivers. Not all people have their amiga connected online.
I can warn guys that arent too savy with configuring software be warned the config tool is a real pain in the ass to use with no documentation.

Indivision 1200 MK2cr (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1148) arrived in stock an hour ago and we are now processing everyone that has pre-ordered :)

@ amigakit
great news! looking forward to getting my A1200 up & running on an old flat screen via dvi soon:knuddel:

Right-o, what @Magnetic said. I found the ECS update through here:

Posting No.32 & 33
It took some tracking down, half of the posts weren't in English so I was "shooting blind", and I couldn't figure out how to get the new firmware to upload until I put it in the same directory as the flash tool, but I've got a rockin' solid 800x600x16 color Workbench now when I want it, LOL. :D
-
when is the a4000D and cd32 version available?
-
It's a shame this wasn't out when I was still working on my 1200 project. One of the main reasons I gave up in the end was because there was no config tool and I was having endless issues trying to get it to work with my monitor.
