Analogic Computers are still around selling Amiga computers and have a repair centre.

Are there any services like this in the North of England or even the Midlands or North Wales?

I went into a local shop that sells "computer bits" and asked them if they could repair my Amiga and they said yes, I don't know yet whether I would use them or send it to amigakit, but you might get a similar response in your area.

From passed poor experiences from Analogic, both my brother and myself would not touch them with a barge pole.

Try Amigakit in Cardiff.

Thanks,  I only need a bit of solderwork done on my A3000.  I have all the parts and tools needed but I'm not too steady with a soldering iron and don't want to kill my baby! :)

Thanks for the heads up.

I'd use Amigakit but I don't want to send my precious A3000 in the post as she's too delicate, plus it would cost a fair bit in postage back and forth.

I was stiffed from them first for outrageous shipping, which I paid....

My CD32 never came and they refused to refund the money until I got PayPal involved.

I personally wouldn't go near them, their only interest in Amiga the last decade has been clearing storerooms of old stock.
