I'll ask Sebastian on the AROS dev list, He uses an Amiga to develop Zune so he should have a build.

I'm sure he gave a reason a while ago... but I can't remember what it was :-?

Maybe you should ask him? :-).

you just use it instead of the original MUI. It does whatever MUI did and more where it has been/ will be extended.
-
It should be totally possible to compile it for OS4, I'm surprised Peter Gorden or DaveP haven't already one so...

As the guy who started Zune a long time ago on Amiga (okay, like 3 classes, I stopped before getting to the windowing/drawing part) then on Linux, and who still introduce new bugs in it on AROS (although I didnt touch the AmigaOS backport and subsequent improvements that resurrected Zune from the dead Linux GUI toolkits - thanks Sebastian!), I feel qualified to say: stay away, citizens, this is very alpha software and a lot of the MUI features you love and cherish aren't there (like testing in real time your new prefs on all open apps, or Arexx support), and I for one would never ever replace MUI 3.8 on my A1200 with that slow piece of incompatible crap (okay this is exagerated) that is Zune. This is insane! It's like willing to replace AmigaOS with AROS. Fine, but not before "a couple" of years. So instead of you trying Zune then saying "this is uber ####e" ... Oh well, I warned you! :) dont expect MUI4, but instead an hybrid between MUI0 and MUI3 :)
And respects to Stefan Stuntz for this awesome piece of one-man-work ! Without MUI where would we be today ? :)
edit: furthermore, zune-amigaos is a static library so you need to recompile the apps. Feel free to contribute the shared library version :)

Since you have the source code for it, you may get it to do whate ever you want... or find a friendly programmer to help you :-)
-
Since i dont have the source i cant do nothing, and since im not a programmer i have to find a friendly programmer ;-)

I mean that you can get hold of the source code from the AROS website :-)
Sebastian has stated that the 68k version of Zune is not ready for release yet :-) Sit tight!

Good question, AFAIK you can use MUI classes with it. But I might be wrong. I update this text if I am :-)

@Bloodline:
I will wait for it, here is a picture of an ibrowse skin im putting together, notice those awful gray buttons, why did they have to hardcode MWB into MUI? :-?

Whoohoo! I broke the 300 barrier! :pint:
-
Well, it's not hardcoded into MUI. you can change those buttons to whatever you'd like instead. Look at the strings page in MUI-Prefs, top-right. You can thank me later ;)

Jocke 'Zerohero' Sjöblom

thats correct. prety much every aspect of MUI's look can be changed assuming you are a registered user of it. And as far as I know you can still registere, although I've heard a few people have had problems registering..

Those pictures need to have the mwb palette, sure you can use any image you want, but there is some restrictions: the size, the colours...so guess its a no can do :-(
