Does anyone know what this "fix" does, or anything about it ? I get that it is a resistor an apparently generic cap, but why ? It is a rev 6.2 a2000 board if that helps.

Not sure what it does, but it's a standard factory-installed fix.

Yeah, I found some pics that suggest that. I'd say some sort of line noise fix as a shot in the dark based on what I read on BBOAH.
