Title: Strange Indivision boot screen mode on Voodoo 5
Post by: JohnFante on May 11, 2013, 12:10:00 PM
I have recently installed a Voodoo 5-5500 in my Mediator 4000DiMK2. I also have a indivison AGA Mk2 installed and use the early boot menu to dual boot between OS4.1 and OS3.9

When I boot and press both mouse buttons to get to the boot menu the screen has a very high screen resolution and is slightly off center. When I choose a OS3.9 partition to boot it boots and resets and when the boot menu comes again the screen is correct.

When I had a Radeon installed I did not have that problem. Then the screen looked the same every time.

Is this related to the Voodoo card?

Yesterday I updated to the 1.1 version of the firmware and now my monitor can not even display the initial boot screen. It blinks and then goes away. AGA screen modes look fine when i for instance use WHDload games so the Indvision is working correctly.

Have you tried changing the boot screen option in the CSPPC menu option (31.5k)?

The problem is that I can not get into the boot menu on the CSPPC to change that. It flashes shortly then my screen goes blank. Does anybody know if there is a speciel screenmode in the indivision that I have to change?

Found a solution.

Downgraded to firmware 1.0. Changed to "No 31kHz default" in the CSPPC startup menu and upgraded to firmware 1.1.

Now everything looks at is should!

Thanks for the tip danbeaver :-)
