Hi all i have been trying to burn a disk on my pc so i can use it on my amiga but when ever i do this i get this error "CD0:Uninitialized" does anyone know a good way to burn a disc so that it can be used on an amiga, i used to burn cd-r disc with the built in burning tools from windows and i have had success that way but when i try to burn a dvd it a different story. Which software do you use on the Amiga to read DVDs? AsimCDFS, CacheCDFS and AllegroCDFS should be able to read ISO9660 with Joliet extensions. All other file systems can only read plain ISO9660 or ISO9660 with Amiga extensions.
There is currently no file system which can read UDF (even though AllegroCDFS claims otherwise).

i use nero to burn anything ..including vcds for my cd32 ..after i convert them from dvd ..never had a problem ..

I use Nero on my PC, as well. Version 10 and version 12, no issues. Maybe try a different brand of media? Or a different reader on your Amiga, if possible?

I have IDEFIX97 installed? Do i need to install another CDFS for it to recognize the disks?

Anyone?

If you're using Windows 7 and the built-in burning tools, make sure you're not using the "treat CD like a flash drive" option. Burn a straight-through, write-once disc. Probably best to "fix" or "finalize" the disc as well so that no additional sessions can be written.

Thanks Thomas, I was burning it in UDF and have now changed it to ISO9660 and is now working :)
