Title: Help identify this Amiga part
Post by: mango on April 05, 2013, 02:52:53 PM
I have previously sold almost all of my Amiga stuff on Ebay.  REcently found this part, and do not know what it is.  Should it have been included with some other part I sold?
Can you please identify it for me.

Thank you.
Chuck.

Is that a lightwave dongle or something?

Well it's a dongle, but it's exact use I'm not sure of as no piracy dongles were required with the normal operation of Amiga DOS.
Maybe something for beta testers or early developers of the day.

Printed in pencil on the back it says "old void dyna cad"

Dyna cad was the primary software that we used on our amigas.

Dyna CAD dongle is the answer then.

I wonder if anyone would need this part?

I used DynaCad on my Amigas, but this part was never plugged in.

Thank you for the help.

You may see it on ebay.

I had a dongle for some software once, I forget what it was though. I remember the dongle wasn't needed if a joystick was plugged in.
