Title: Picasso IV display mode
Post by: LordSpunky on March 24, 2013, 11:21:01 AM
Hi chaps - got a question regarding my Picasso IV and A4000, does anyone have that setup?

Wondering what modes it supports and what is the best display setup? I don't want to play with it in fear of buggering it all up!

I used to run a Sony Trinitron 200ES 17" CRT but currently using a HP x22LED.

In PicassoMode TNG it is set as Generic 38kHz monitor using PAL [Flicker fixer, 49 hz, 31 hz] - 760x603

In Picasso96Mode Resolution selected is 1024x768 at 256 colours.

In ScreenMode it is set as PicassoIV 800x600 24bit BGR

and it works......but I'm sure I can get a better setting......any ideas?

There's a Picasso 96 guide at Amibay how to setup screen modes.  The operational specs can be found here:

Indeed, it's just a guide to setup the screens modes in Picasso96, the smaller ones should work fine with the PicassoIV, just be careful not to set anything above your card/monitor specs.

Of course you wont be able to make screen modes like 1680x1050...

Well maybe in 8 col with interlace :roflmao:
