Hi guys, be away awhile, but you know I keep coming back.......so today I was mega excited when TNT turned up cos I knew it was my new (to me) Amiga 1000! I opened the box horrified! The front panel is in pretty bad shape.
Looks like they dumped something on top of it, there is a crack above the floppy drive, the plastic screw holding bit under it has snapped off and the eject button is trashed.
So anyone know where I can get hold of an A1000 front panel?
Also........anyone know what that RAM is on the front? Cos it has 8MB on the CPU as well.
Cheers

The RAM board looks like one of Kipper2k board.

ah man what a bloody shame:rant: The most important and beautiful part of the A1000 case too.
I would suppose the best place to ask would be AmiBay as I see quite a few A1000's come up now & then

Evil Bay has a constant smattering of A1000's too.

Thanks guys, I'll post of Amibay for the case - a question though......as I can't get Workbench to load.......I assume the upside down board inside is the daughterboard? And if there is 8MB off the CPU what is the memory on the front? Isn't 8MB the MAX the A1000 can run? Any Ideas would be good.

@ LordSpunky
The 8Mb ram board you have is fast ram.
The from panel ram is 256kb chip ram making the total chip ram 512kb

D'oh.....yup understand.....that chip ram is huge.....don't think it would fit a cover over it even if I had one.
