Title: partition a 80gb empty drive

Hi,here we go again ,i have a 80gb harddrive and when the 4xEIDE'99 Buffered IDE (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=194) [/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]
is fitted can i use just some of the drive like DH0 ,1GB,DH1 ,2GB,DH2 ,2GB,   or do i have to use all the drive up ,and can i install os 3.9 on a empty hardrive ,or do i need 3.1 installing first ,Brian.

You can use as few space as you like and leave the rest empty.

OS 3.9 can be installed to an empty hard drive. First boot your Amiga with your old hard drive and create an emergency floppy, then replace the hard drive by the empty one and boot from the emergency floppy, partition the new drive and install OS 3.9.

Hi thank you ,it was begining to keep me awake wondering which way i was going to install os 3.9 but ok now ,thanks again Brian.:):)
