Nice vid.  I used to do the same thing back in the day (mid-80's thru early 90's) using my Amiga 1000, Deluxe Music 1.0/2.0, MIDI, Casio CZ101, mixer, Ibanez DT-400 guitar, and a Ibanez 35-Watt amp.  Between the Amiga and Casio, I had 8 independent channels.  Then I mixed in my guitar.  Fun days.  Been almost 18 years since I picked up my guitar.  I need to get it back in tune again.

Hi you sure do my friend 18yrs has been a long long time ,it looks like you had some nice equipment ,i had always used a pc to record but became lost and bored with the ease of using the pc,you know press one button and out came a ready made cd ,where as the Amiga, that gave back the joy and excitement of a raw sound so compleat it would fill the room with harmony ,strange really i never had an Amiga when i was younger ,but the joy it brings today cant be bought ,i too dont play guitar any more ,because my hands are not what they used to be ,but the ukulele allows me to play along with the Amiga and is a little better on the hands ,thanks for looking in Brian.

Love that you went to the effort to get an Amiga sweatshirt/hoodie!

Is that a large character keyboard hooked to the A1200?

Thanks for that! Well maybe I should move to the UK because no-one listens to my music over here (haha!).

I did that with Bars & Pipes on the Amiga controlling a Roland SC-155 and Yamaha DX-100.  Also slaved to Bars & Pipes via MIDI was an external Yamaha MD-8 (8-track digital multitracker) for the vocal tracks - that's how I was able to get layered harmonies and the guitar part syncing up with the Amiga controller MIDI instruments.  If you want to try this, you can probably find an older digital multitrack recorder from the 1990s or early 2000s for cheap now that everyone has moved onto computer DAWs for recording. Just make sure it has a MIDI sync port.

Thanks again and let us know when you and The Chips have your next concert!  Maybe at The Cavern Club, eh?

Great!  If you have any questions just feel free to ask - you need a cheap Amiga MIDI interface and you need to look for something like "Sync to MIDI Time Code (MTC)" in whatever software you are using.

Good luck!
