Try amibay.

Do a search for mkl.  I've got one on order right now.

Forgot to mention.  Go to hardware for sale and Amiga!

Will an IDE68k work on an A2000?

Will all your expansion slots still work?

Will the required A600 ROM cause problems on an A2000 motherboard?

I am figuring the A600 ROM won't autoconfig all your expansion cards in all the A2000 zorro slots since A600 doesn't exactly have those slots?

Does IDE68k conflict with the A2000 Video Slot?

I have utterly no idea how to answer any of those questions except to say I contacted the designer and we will see.

Actually, except for Zorro slots, A500 and A600s are very similar to the A2000.

I think the ROM chips for 500/2000 are the same.  Config of the bus slots is handled by a separate chip, Buster in the A3000/4000, and... whatever the precursor to Buster is in the A2000.  ;-)

If I recall. IDE68K will work fine with an A500\2000 kickstart rom 3.1. You dont need to use KS2.05 from A600. Use KS3.1 and everything works if I recall even Zorro.

500/600/2000 use the same rom.

autoconfig will work just fine.

no idea about the video slot :)

kickstart 2.05 or higher is needed. As trip6 stated 3.0...3.1 work fine :-)

Mika Leinonen just contacted me via e-mail.
Apparently the IDE68k should work with an A2000.
Since I have a 3.1 rom installed on my machine, it should (to the adapter) appear to be similar to an A600.
Great news, as its a lot easier to find IDE devices (then SCSI).
And the IDE68k costs less then most SCSI adapters.

Mika just got back to me with an email address I can use to send 50 eur to order an IDE68K.
If anyone else is interested I'll send it to you.
I generally don't post e-mail addresses as they seem to attract spambots.

No need really, a quick search on here :

But to be honest prefer using Amibay, that way he gets some feedback which is good for him and I get some feedback so he know who he is dealing with :-)
