Title: Professional Draw crashy under WB3.1
Post by: Ral-Clan on February 18, 2013, 12:44:51 AM
As the title says, Professional Draw seems very unstable under WB3.1.

Has anyone ever had any success using it under this version of the OS - i.e. in a stable manner?

From playing with it, I got graphics glitches, menus disappearing and a GURU on exit.

I've tried pretty much every structured drawing program available for the Amiga. ProwDraw is pretty good, not the best, but a lot of applications can import ProDraw vector images and it would be nice to have this tool working in one's arsenal of Amiga apps.

Back in the day AFAIR they never updated to work properly with AGA, so I'm not sure if that the reason for your problems.

I found all Professional#? (Page | Draw) products to be buggy no matter what year it was or what OS I was using back in the 80's and 90's so I just stayed away from them.

I don't care about Professional Page at all but if you could figure out a way or find a patch or whatever to make Professional Draw work then it would be nice.

They released ENDLESS buggy crashy versions of Professional Page so I simply gave up on the whole company.

Can you softkick 1.3 or 2.04 to see if that makes the problems go away?
That way u will know if the bugs are related to the kickstart version or not.
