Title: Off topic: Warp3D stuff (branched from AmiQuake2 AGA thread)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EA9xtM22tA here it is running on a PC. so I am thinking that a PCI gfx card with Permedia2 should be faster on a SAM based system

Perhaps, but the drivers on the PC will likely have a lot less between the GL layer and the hardware.

One idea I have is that if Warp3D were to include a primitive T&L pipeline, GL could be improved on this old hardware. A lot of time in the driver is wasted waiting for the GPU FIFO when instead it could be performing transformation and clipping.

Sorry, I'll stop hijacking the thread now :)

You should feel ashamed, and ban yourself! :)

Tried, it doesn't work.

Will someone get this man some permissions?!

You guys are making me really happy that I own an 80Mhz 060. I was supposed to trade it and my 1200 up for a 3000 and 4000, but now...

...now I'm finding myself very emotionally attached again. I need to bust it back out soon and work out the config issues that prevented me from running BOOM, plus I want to check out Nova's recent work too!
