My SCSI drives are not that stable anymore. I am therefore considering byuing a SCSI to SATA converter.
Anybody have any experieces with that kind of converters?
I am specifically considering this one - or something similar:

I have a few 18GB SCSI 2 Wide LVD and 74 GB U320 drives I could let you have cheap if that would help.

Thank you, but I think I will go away for SCSI drives the next time I have to change. They are simply to noisy compared to modern drives :-)

I'm not familiar with the adaptor you listed there but i have seen quite a lot of people use adapters from acard with their amiga.

I can understand that.
10 and 15K rpm drives are a little noisy (I just like the throughput).
And I could let you have a drive at a price that is a lot cheaper then the adapter you're talking about.

Hi John,
I put one in a 3000 with an SSD. They do work fine, although the Acard ARS-2000SUP I used refused to work with the Warp Engine SCSI, but works awesome on the 3000D (aka 2091) SCSI.
Will need all latest updates of the scsi.device to work well (for large disks that is).
All you will need to do is to replace the loud ps fan for a silent Amiga!

Why not just get a SCSI card reader from Mechware :-)

If you can hang on for about a week, I ordered a narrow SCSI to SATA adapter for use in a Sun 20 that I'm going to also test in my 2000 with GVP SCSI card.
