Title: Romy Card
Post by: Erol on January 25, 2013, 12:27:42 PM
Does anyone know how the romy board works?
I'm looking for instructions on how to place the kickstart in the 1MB memory.

The seller has no idea other than installing onto the gary chip.

Romy only allows 1 MB Kickstart

After Romy installed, you have to put a new 1 MB Kickstart into the rom sockets !

Here a good howto :

I think this simply allows you to burn your own 1MB Kickstart chips and plug them directly into the Amiga. The sockets can support larger chips, but the motherboard logic isn't all there. This board corrects that.

Edit: Cosmos beat me to it :)

@Matt_H

@Cosmos

thank you, so basically worth having if I have os3.9.  not sure I would need this for 3.1.
