Regretfully, I have decided to sell my Cyberstorm PPC. With a 15-month-old baby in the house I no longer have time to use it so rather than letting it collect dust I have put it up for auction starting at $.99 with no reserve.

Have you thought of putting the 15 month-old up for sale instead? :kitty: And believe me at 15 months they are no baby, just a screaming toddler. ;)

No international shipping?

No international shipping?
Its hard getting a 15 month-old on a plane without sedating them.
-
This is my 1st child... It is a lot of fun but a lot more work than I ever imagined..
As far as international shipping.... I am willing to ship as long as the buyer pays for the shipping. The little checking I did it is quite expensive...

Male or female? And have you "bullet-proofed" the house (when they learn to climb you are in big trouble -- males)?
There are 2 sayings that apply to toddlers: 1) From Mick Jagger, "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you just might find that you get what you need." 2) You can't make things "fool-proof," as fools are too ingenious -- substitute toddler for fool.

Good luck :)
-
That escalated quickly :(
$760 now

Last night I had a little time to play around and was trying to get my my 3000T going again after pulling the Cyberstorm. After digging around for a little while I found the jumper setting and got the stock 030 to boot but having problems with some programs not running. Does anyone know what 060 libraries I have to remove for the 030 to function properly again?

Any and every program with libs you installed that is a 060 specific binary will have to be changed. its not just a matter of removing the libs for the accelerator. You may have some work ahead of you.
You should of sold the toddler ;)
-
If you are selling the toddler..
I mean, if you are running OS 3.9 you can just copy the standard libraries from the CD which I believe are in the CD0:OS-VERSION3.9\WORKBENCH3.9\LIBS. At least that's all I did when I uninstalled my A3640 card. As far as what Mech said about the programs installed using the 060 libs, that is another huge cluster fornicate.

Is uzisuicide still going to stay up with the 030? I may have a spare a3640 floating around but...no promises :)

Yes.. I hope to have it back up and running by this weekend.. I will try running on the onboard 030/25... if not I have a 3640 I can pull from my 4000. Moving the 7 gigs of backups without another ultra wide controller is going to be the biggest hassle. I have the majority of the files backed up on a USB stick so I can move them over with the deneb but it is going to be slow.
-
Well I wish you luck :) If you ever decide you need to run your bbs on a pc (linux) let me know, I maintain daydream for linux when I have the time. Although...I do have an a3000 set up for system express :)
Also, kind of OT - I was thinking of starting an amiga scene bbs message network. Would you be interested?
-
I would be interested in a msg network.. Looks like I am going to start on a fresh install in the morning..
-
Hi,
So you gave in when the wife sat nude in front of your Amiga monitor and said " Do you know what this means" and then you abandoned your Amiga for your wife.
You know you made a mistake you should have answered you are blocking my monitor.
Now look at what you are giving up and for what?
smerf LOL

Ooh, that will shoot a weekend!
-
Indeed...a few hours into itxand not even close yet.
-
Now it's over $1000+ for that card... Enjoy the cash. :) I would hate to pay that kind of money for any PPC Amiga accelerator when there isn't much to do with it and the possibility of it breaking the next day... :) 68030 does just great for games.

Some of us use our Amigas to do actual work. You should try it sometime that you are not dragging your knuckles along the floor. ;)

Outbid with three seconds to spare! Thought I was finally going to snag a PPC, c'est la vie. Congrats to whomever the winner ended up being.

By the countdown clock I was watching it happened with 3 seconds to go. Hope the sale completes well let me know if it doesn't ;)
-
Wow.... All these posts are making me feel guilty for not finding time to play with mine yet.
Bought off Craigslist about a year and a half ago with a A4000t attached.... fired it up only once. Its a 233 too. :-(
This year is gonna be the year when I finally really get going with my Amiga kick. But that is also what I said last year...must fix priorities. :)
-
Fresh install of 3.9 complete ..... forgot how slow the stock 030/25 is...

You're so killing me right now. :)

Yes but I've not pursued getting a CVPPC until I can get my hands on a PPC accelerator.
