Title: LF: Blizzard 1240/1260 or Falcon 1240/1260
Post by: Blinx123 on December 14, 2012, 04:13:02 PM
I'm looking for one of the above accelerators.
Doesn't matter if they come with maximum RAM installed or not, since I can always install my own SIMMs.

Would be great if they already came with a CPU though.

I'm located in Europe and so should be the seller.

The last deal on Amibay went sour, so I'm still looking for a Blizzard 1260.
Should definitely come with a CPU (Rev 5 or 6) and, preferably, a socketed crystal.

I read somewhere that the Apollo accelerators had problems with the crystal being socketed, one person said that their accelerator died after the crystal "moved" in its socket.
Perhaps the socket is not a good idea?

Well. I'm not sure if this applies to all cards. In all probability, this can be fixed, some way or the other.

Anyways. The reason I'm looking for a socketed Blizzard is so I can easily swap the crystal, in case the SCSI Kit I'm purchasing doesn't work with a 70MHz or more crystal (even with the SCSI disabled on the kit).
