Title: Can HTML work in Amiga.org signatures?
Post by: Ral-Clan on December 12, 2012, 01:45:59 PM
Hi,  I'd like to put small a widget link to my soundcloud.com site in my signature here on Amiga.org.

Will HTML code work in the signatures here, or will it just display as text?

What is a "widget link"?

It's a little piece of HTML code that calls up a graphic or player or other object which is hosted on another site.  It often is used to provide a public link to one's YouTube or Soundcloud account.  It allows you to embed an icon, or even a small player on your website, or in a forum signature.

I see that HTML is disabled when you use the signature editor in Amiga.org.

So I guess since widgets use HTML code they will not work.

The weird thing is that the signature editor allows you to upload a signature image - but I can't see any way, once the image is uploaded, to insert it into one's signature.  For instance, I've already uploaded a small icon graphic to accompany my signature, but it doesn't show up in the signature below.
