Simple question to go classic ie blizzard or vp in 1200 trapdoor or go for one of the new state aca boards .which gives the best bang for buck so to speak and also compatibility

AFAIK they are all equal on compatibility. What CPU are you currently using?

Not bought one yet just fitting cf in the morning and ill get one over weekend but don't want cooling issues so I'm thinking 030@50 hz 16/32meg for the classic option or aca top speed 128 mb

If u don't want cooling issues then you have only 2 choices:
68030 50Mhz slow but cool.
68060 50Mhz superfast but supercool. No heatsink needed. No fan needed. Only 4.9 watts supergreen CPU. Save the Earth! Use an 060! You also get a free FPU and free L1 cache!
All 68040 cards are hot and must have a heatsink or fan or something.

Thx

Whatever u get make sure to get at least 32MB of RAM so u can play all the games.

32 why so much if games work on 2 meg 1200

Not all games work on 2MB A1200. Why limit yourself to only small games?
-
Most compatible WHD-accelerator: Blizzard 1230/50
Most speedy bang for buck WHD-acc: ACA 1230/56
Most compatible ACA: 1232/33 I think...

Can't get the ACA 1230 56Mhz new anymore (sniff sniff) but a close second is the ACA 1231 still able to buy new. May only have 64MB of RAM but is a lot quicker than the ACA 1232.

I would really like to see a 060 powered Amiga with only 2MB of RAM :D

My Apollo 1230 35 mhz with 32 MB RAM Runs quite well with whdload, and i can still play Alien Breed 3D, Gloom and Adoom quite well :) sure it has its limits, but it is much faster than My Amiga 4000/030.
