Amiga Gaming Remakes is a brand new service on Amiga.org and will cover the very fashionable trend of remaking and or rereleasing famous Amiga games on modern platforms. Sometimes this will just be a News link like the game covered today, other times we will get interviews with the developers themselves or do a diary of an upcoming game release. Today's focus is on the Lemmings remake for PS Vita. This Classic Amiga game is now free for the Sony PS Vita. Lemmings was a revolution at the time of release and the Amiga version has the rare two mouse player mode that lets you try to kill each others Lemmings. Fun and exciting game for all!

it is a fun game. Just a shame the Vita near enough cripples my hands when i try to play it.
-
Does it run using a customized UAE version? Or is it a full out port to the Vita?
Prolly need to ask the devs.
-
Thye say port but I beleive it's the same game that was released on the PS3. Which is one of those "reimaginings" that seem to be the craze when developers need a quick cash injection.
-
Would love to play it on a Vita, just don't want to purchase one. Still love my PSP and don't really see a need to change at this point.
Looks good though, they should release this for the PC via Steam :-)
Anyway... official windows version :

For the PC, you'll need to run it via DOS Box :-)
Or... a remake

Or how about a DHTML version to play while at work :-)

But at the end of the day I end up playing it on the Amiga, seems to give the game more soul.

I have fond memories of lemmings 3d.

This same game is available for PSP too. Download the ISO for free from a hundred different places...
I have it since it was released back in 2004 and it's a pretty decent version, with music from Tim Follin, none the less.
-
For those of you with flash cards for your Nintendo DSi, there are also free ports of The Lemmings and Cannon Fodder for it! :)
-
@gaula92
Is on psp too but maybe is more enjoyable on vita, touch screen is closer to a mouse on this game.

I just tried this vita lemmings and I wasn't impressed. Tried it on a friends vita and it just didn't play right.
-
Well tried the PSP version. Not keen, looks nice but not very playable without a mouse.
-
Can't see Lemmings on my PSN!
-
You have to look under playstation mobile section. It's ok but not a patch on the original - find the backgrounds a bit distracting and music is not as good.
Tried it on my xperia play and it's exactly the same game (and have played it on PSP before) - touch controls are good for me!
