My 2000 project will have its octagon scsi controller with drive and 8 meg in soon,it has some spare connections to which I'm hoping to put a CDROM or other media device on.there seems to be loads of caroms on eBay etc ....are they all gonna work or do I have to be careful...
Thanks in anticipation

Welcome! Just about any SCSI CD drive will work. Just make sure you have a CD filesystem to go with it (AsimCDFS, AmiCDFS, BabelCDFS, etc.).

Just make sure you terminate the last device in the SCSI chain, and that the SCSI IDs for each device is unique.  I use AsimCDFS, and it works great.  I'm not sure about the others, as I have never tried them.  Any of them should be fine, though.
