Title: How much?
Post by: AmigaFreak on November 30, 2012, 03:08:31 AM
How much RAM can you actually expand the A1000 to use? - My A1000 when I got it had an external expansion with 2 MB RAM on it. This (I'm guessing) allowed my Father, to run Workbench 1.3 on the 1000.

How much can the system actually register?

You can take to 8Mb with no accelerator.
I still use an A1000 (mostly for games, I confess) that has 2.5Mb, and runs just about everything I throw at it.

Assuming no hardware modifications, accelerators, etc., think that would be 8.5MB.  256K motherboard, 256K front expansion, 8MB fast on the side.
