A few days ago, the MZ.org database obviously got a bit corrupt, as some threads didn't show up after clicking on them, and then all News posts disappeared, etc.
Then the site just disappeared!
:(
Any news about this?

Hmm, just after typing the post above, I did another try to reach the site.
Now you actually get a "Forbidden" response from the server, which is a sign of a heartbeat unlike the stalled connection you got previously.
So I guess progress is being made in restoring the site?
:)

I have that too.
-
It says they are moving servers so i suppose it's just a matter of time for the site to be back alive and kicking!
-
Thank god for that

Must feel like being excommunicated from the Church for 'ole TMHG when The Holy Portal goes down.

We want smurfzone back!

Moobunny is still working fine. :)
-
MooBunny is the best Amiga site out there.
-
Out of curiosity where did the Moobunny name come from?

Seems the site is slowly coming back online, although there still seems to be something wrong since nothing is clickable (you just get a "no forum selected" error message).
The threads (and news) are obviously there though!
:)
Edit: And now we are back to "Please be patient" again...
;)

does anyone know who runs the physical site? has the sysadmin updated folks on #morphos on IRC or anything?

The domain is registered to a Bill Buck of Genesi USA, Inc and was registered with GoDaddy (to which all of it's nameservers point).
The site itself is hosted on euve6246, which is a server managed by BSB, a daughter of Intergenia Frankfurt (the company behind Server4You).
Anything else?

I think André Siegel is the webmaster and the one running things in practice.
I may be wrong on that though...

NOW IT's BACK ONLINE!
Just tried how loud you can shout on Amiga.org (and how silent you can whisper!) ;)
