Hello everyone. I've an UNUSED, NEW A500 computer that I'd like to sell.
I started the following ebay-auction:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/181031162616?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
Ending in five days. Shipping is worldwide.
Regards.

I must be dreaming things.
Did someone plant a large bar of gold in there? $500 asking price and it already got 3 bidders?
-
To the original poster...didn't you just sold one brand new unopened Amiga 500 at amibay?
How many of those do you have?
-
If its never been opened how do we know for sure there is an amiga inside.could be carefully opened , filled with bricks and re-sealed. Pics of the machine would be needed. Oh I see there is pics. Its just a repackaged amiga id say.
-
I keep hearing those words "Unused" Amiga. Who the hell in their right mind can have an unused Amiga in their house and not use it? It's like having a case of cold "Becks Beer" in your refrigerator and not drinking it. I'm a little weary about paying big money in instances like that.

Yeah, looks used to me too...
-
@Deksar. Are you the 2 other bidders?
-
I bet the damn thing is used. That old "cover it in plastic" routine is the oldest trick in the book. It's a presentation gimmick that throws out the "I'm brand new" illusion.
-
My used amiga 500 is in better conditions.
-
Hmm if I had that sort of money I would bid on this...

Is that in Istanbul or Constantinople? :-D
-
@Hellraiser: I had two of them. The other one was sold on Amibay to a user in the U.S.
@TheBilgeRat: That remind me... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeQ-wjDH4F4 :-)
Buddies, I am the first owner of them and I have never used these two A500s. No tricks, no fraud, no joke. But yeah, feel free to believe whatever you wish.
Regards.

If I had the money I'de be bidding against you. Tell you what, if I win today's lotto I'll buy you one too.

I aint spending 500 bucks on A500 even if it is made of gold casing and signed by the "father" of Commodore himself and sealed and never opened with it's warranty paper.
Personally, with that money it can go somewhere else better :)
-
Good luck with that user in the us... i assume its the guy in new york? He will send it back to you stating it is not new as it is not as white as the amiga 1200
-
I don't see anything indicating that the item isn't exactly what the seller states it is. There are actually quite a few NIB and mint/boxed 500's still out there, so it shouldn't be a huge shocker.
Good luck with your sale, deksar. :pint:
-
I only wonder, if he's got 2 of them, then why not photograph each on seperate pics instead of using the same pics (of one) for both on amibay and ebay.
The pics set is identical right down to the marks on the carton box..

I suppose the flaky mouse port must add value then! :laugh1:

Only if a no sale results in it's destruction. You know it's the best way to sell an Amiga.

500$ starting price? Wrong forum, buddy

Thanks, Damion.

Laziness?
Thorham, I'll make it 50USD for you incl. shipping.
-
Too late! It already has 3 bids going on GreedBay...
-

No, you won't (even though that would be a much better price), and what I meant is that posting this here is pointless, because the people here know what an A500 is worth, and it's not 500$ New or not.
-
Well bros, that's for NOS-collectors who'd like to have a brand new a500 in 2012, and that's all, no one was and is forced to buy it in that price. So for instance, all those bidders here (http://www.ebay.com/itm/EXCELLENT-condition-Commodore-AMIGA-500-1MB-Ram-Original-package-/290782178820?item=290782178820&ViewItem=&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123&nma=true&si=JMpdJ%2F2ohC7QYn5NP0XgCpV31wo%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557)don't know what a USED A500 is worth? No original disks, no manuals.. and just 11$ cheaper than a NOS/unused one? After I paid the shipping cost, I got 369$ left from the other new A500 I sold via Amibay.
-
Well bros, of course you all are better, that's for NOS-collectors who'd like to have a brand new a500 in 2012, and that's all, no one was and is forced to buy it in that price and I'd also consider your price/trade offers by PM, as I've found one more of that.

If some people are willing to pay those prices, and what you're selling is the real deal, then good for you :)
-
Only worth what someone is willing to pay, so best of luck on your auction.
The market speaks with their wallets, after all.
-
Hey remember the guy that had a "new never used amiga 500" then later he discovered that he had a second one?
Apparently he found out that he has a third one!!!
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-New-Unused-Commodore-Amiga-500-/181035305724?pt=UK_VintageComputing_RL&hash=item2a268b8afc
Starting bid this time only 400 £!Well i guess Jay Miner had a secret storehouse full with new never used Amigas in Turkey!!!
-
I NEVER said "I discovered that I had found a second one". I said I have two of them to sell, now I'd like to sell one more there. Any problem?
You dislike the price, feel free to NOT bid. You offer a price, ready to accept it. You just... I really don't get all your angers here.
Paypal is smarter than you -in case- of any fraud, so, relax.
-
I'd be passingly curious at the story of these A500's, how they never got used. Did you buy them for a business? Were you a dealer? Find a few in an old warehouse somewhere? I'm sure they must have quite an interesting tale! :)
-
I bought them in 90's, from a friend of mine who was a dealer selling those computers, he had to leave for his military service, and didn't continue to his store.
Reason of the "high" prices is ONLY due to EXAGGERATED Postal costs, and nothing else.
-
Only a moron like you could think that calling Greeks thieves is a joke...maybe you could tell us your ethnicity so we can make similar jokes!I am sure you'd fancy those!
Oh, and now I do understand his anger to anything *TR*. :-)
Peace.
-

Yeah you are right...too bad that the other guys expressing concerns in this thread as to the true origin of all those Amigas you are selling are NOT Greeks!
Try better next time!:p
P.S
As for the excuse for the high prices you are asking...the postal costages are NOT included in the STARTING price you are asking. So try find also for this a better excuse...
