Title: Wtb: Dmac 390563-01 a590/a2091
Post by: glitch on November 25, 2012, 07:18:44 PM
Hello,

My A590 is screwed.  AutoConfig reports that device has failed and I am 100% sure it is the DMAC.  Mine is a CSG 390563-01.

Does anyone have a busted A590 or A2091 that they would be willing to part with the DMAC?  This one also has ancient v4.6 ROMs too.  I would like to buy some 7.0's if someone is willing to sell those too.

Thanks so much.

I think Vesalia has this chip. If you can reach Joe at Softhut, he probably has one, too. I also got some v7 chips from him earlier this year as well. The older versions are incompatible with Kickstart 2 - maybe even 1.3, can't recall. It might be the 590 ROM revision rather than DMAC.

Softhut is waste of your time. They are as deader than dead... :(  vesalia unfortunately has some issues lately too, i am still waiting for my subway usb card which i paid like two weeks ago... but with paypal its no problem if they dont deliver.

I have a 6.6 rom if you need one.

Vesalia has been fine over the past several weeks; I've ordered from them 4 times. The postal service is another issue.  They has that DMAC for $cheap USD.  The 7.0 ROM's are on eBay from Canada and are pricey copies.  The only problem with "Roll Your Own" is the EPROM speed needs to be around 120-150 ns.  Higher read numbers won't work.  Same for KS ROMs where faster is better.:mickeymouse:
