Saw this on Ebay today - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COMMODORE-AMIGA-4000-D-040-BOXED-CBM-AMIGA-4000-DESKTOP-/
Why are they so expensive, is it because they made them in fewer numbers and made more A1200 and Amiga cd32 ie: therefore making them more rare? or is groups of people are keeping the price artificially high? I sometime wonder :destroy:
I have one and I think I hang on to it lol :DI got lucky at a car boot sale a few years ago, Some old guy was selling some of son's stuff who had recently died for 50 quid monitor , keyboard and tons of software all thrown in.
That was a lucky day!;)

Lucky for you? Yeah! Not so much for the son.

Why? It's the flagship and latest and fastest model.
I'm sure the son is turning in his grave you got it so cheap.

The big box Amigas are expandable with the A4000 the last designed by some great engineers. I moved from a towerized A2000 to an A4000T; for these were "work" computers used for word processing, DTP production of pamphlets and image processing. I had only about 8 - 10 games. I bought a backup A4000T around 10 years ago and kept it boxed until this year when I expanded it and then put it back in the box.
