Title: New music track
Post by: Ral-Clan on November 16, 2012, 04:33:19 AM
Hi guys,

I just uploaded a new music track that I composed to SoundCloud.  I used Bars & Pipes (best Amiga sequencer) to do the final arrangement of the MIDI data on this.

It is synthpop pure and simple.

You can hear it here:

Process: rough idea put together on a Yamaha QY-10 pocket sequencer, imported into Bars & Pipes for "finesse" arranging. Exported from Bars & Pipes and finally into the DAW "Reaper" where the actual synth audio is recorded for adding of effects, etc.

Good arpegios!!! B&P and REAPER!
What a good combination! it´s a shame there isn´t a VSTi version of B&P to can merge with Reaper as I do with FLStudio and Reaper.

Good job!

You kind of can do this if you run Bars & Pipes in WinUAE, and then use MIDI Yoke to sync B&P to your Windows based DAW (i.e. Reaper or FLStudio) via MIDI Time Code or MIDI Clocks.  It's not as integrated as a VSTi but you can at least run the programs together.

By the way, all the synths and sequencers used are Amiga era equipment: Roland Alpha-Juno 2 (1986), Yamah QY-10 (1992), Roland SC-155 (1991).

By the way, thanks everyone!

It would be awesome if Reaper could be ported to AmigaOS.  I know a few people on the Reaper forum have asked for B&P features to be added to Reaper.

By the way, if anyone wants to check out Reaper, you can see it at: http://www.reaper.fm

The Reaper programmers have had a great grass-roots approach and multi-platform support in developing this software. The software's features are top notch (comparable to all the other top-tier DAWs) for a very cheap price.
