Title: Possible Trade A500 Plus for A1200
Post by: Lurch on November 11, 2012, 09:09:21 AM
Can blame AmmoJammo for a big re-think.

Dabbling with the idea of swapping some of my A500 gear for an A1200.

A500+ 68010, 2MB Chip, 8MB Fast, A590, KS 3.1, WB 3.1 SVideo adapter,SCSI Card Reader,2GB CF Card, Indivision ECS.

VXL-30 (No RAM expansion)
HARMS pro 030, will have 8MB ZIP RAM once it turns up, currently only 4MB. Not too sure about this card. Someone with some soldering skills maybe able to fix it. Thought it had been but not so sure now.

3 x 68010's including the one in the A500 Plus.

Have two spare mainboards (a plus and a v6) but the cost on overseas shipping might be too much to include those.

Will have to put the Amiga back together,  oh did I mention it's been sprayed black with vinyl paint :-) They keys have been sprayed black and have vinyl key caps, needs some clear coat to seal it off haven't got that far yet.

The A590 comes with an ATX adapter and a SCSI card reader. There's some photos on here somewhere in another thread. The A590 also has 7.0 ROMS and a vinyl sticker/picture on top :-)

The A500 is a great WHDload machine with just the 68010, have played many a round of naughty ones and ruff'n'tumble with no problems.

Anyway will put that out there and see what happens, off to bed for a think on it over night and work in the morning :-(

Was hoping for one with an accelerator, 68030 maybe and possibly an indi.  :-)

Owned one many moons ago now. Sold it for some unknown reason, had a CD32 too but the controller was shot.

Ah well, regretting it now. Hard finding Amiga gear locally.

Not wrong, Good Amiga gear in Aus/NZ is sooo hard to find!

Have been looking at the Aussie Ebay too not much going there. States and the UK even some places further afield like Germany etc have a huge stock pile of gear.

Have bought from some strange places just to get some smaller items, but have had no luck with larger items.

Might be interested in trading an A1200 for your SCSI card reader and maybe we could work something out for your indi ECS.

Would ideally like to end up with a 1200 that has a scandoubler/flicker fixer. After seeing the indi ecs working man hard to go back to my svideo adapter :-)

You could always buy a Dell ST2320L LCD monitor, I hear they play nicely with Amiga"s.
