Post by: Marcel21674 on November 08, 2012, 12:04:49 PM
I have an "old" sweex pcmcia firewire card, from an old laptop.
Is it possible to make it work on the amiga 1200?

You sure its not cardbus? Did they really make a 16bit firewire PCMCIA?

Just a quick image search for "firewire pcmcia" on google and I don't see one image thats not cardbus.

Don't think so - pretty sure it's CardBus. :(

Well in theory you could use a PCI to cardbus bridge on a PCI equipped A1200 tower to drive a firewire cardbus card if you could be bothered to write the code and happened to be completely pants eating bonkers.

Never mind, just found out it does not fit. The slot from the card is slightly different.
