There's a new version of Sysinfo! Yes, there really is! v3.24 has been updated to v4.0. :-)

Feel like I've just gone back to the 80's/90's and I was shouting "yes yes yes" at the screen....
-
After struggling with an accelerator card all week I promised myself not to touch the Amiga... But.. I'll be back :-)
-
Nice surprise, keep up the good work.

Excellent!
-
Awesome!
-
Cool. will try it later today :)
-
Hum... I get a 12 Mhz result with my Apollo 060@95...
Ouch !!!
-
Well that's just neat! SysInfo was always one of my favorite Amiga apps back in the day, and thanks Nic Wilson for allowing you to update it! :)
-
It's nice getting the correct ram readings!!
-
The author said that he will add more 060 updates so it should report correct MHz. I also hope it can fix the MIPS rating for 060's too.

@ Jiffy
so cool! thanks for posting

Far out! Can we finally stop referring to it as "mis-info"?
I had given up on this program decades ago....
-
This was neat to see. I just ran it with WinUAE for the fun of it. I remember when we got the first 68040 accelerator add-on (X-Calibur) I saw "PHONE ME NOW!" in the comments field. I contacted Nic to let him know. He was surprised.

The program is very accurate if your CPU is an 040 or below. And the reason is simple. It was never updated for an 060.
It will be nice to have it support the 060 after all these years. :)
The PHONE ME NOW!!!! comment was easily achieved with an 060 CPU :)

I find no significant improvement in "Mis-Infos" accuracy with the 4.0 version.
It still miscalculates the CPU speed of my 50 MHz A2630 & A3640 accelerators. (AIBB does this with much greater accuracy!) It still reports N/A for Ramsey and Gary on my A3000.
Also, the SCSI test buffer size should support an env variable or config file change for the default 128KB IDE buffer size. But there is at least some hope of improvement for future versions.
