Title: Pegasos II Complete System for Sale.
Post by: matt3k on October 28, 2012, 06:01:45 PM
I'm selling my complete Peg II with a MOS 3 license.

She is a sweet running machine that has the fastest components for MOS.

Neat system Matt, but right now the fastest MorphOS machine is a Powermac with a 2.0 GHz 7448 processor (like Redrumloa has), with a Radeon 9800XT video card (like I have).
Although the Peg2 will run MorphOS AND OS4, which makes it a unique computer.

Thanks for the correction Iggy.  I thought that the 8500 was the fastest 3d card for MOS...

For a little while longer (but not that long).
Exchanging messages with Pega-1 (one of the MorphOS developers working on video drivers) I realized the Peg would not work with either the 9800XT or the 9600 (because of its AGP slot).
It will work with the 9800Pro and there are some 1.4GHz processor cards floating around (very few).
So the Peg2 can still be a pretty up to date machine (considering when it was made).

And with a G4 card, running OS4, its going to fly past an Acube board.
Its just that for MorphOS, its getting beat by cheaper alternatives.

Beyond that, I do appologize for crapping on your thread.
The Peg2 is a neat machine that should command a decent price (especially considering the alternatives). If I wanted to run OS4, this would be what I'd use (I can afford an X1000).
