Title: Pfs3 identifier
Post by: Kitch on October 22, 2012, 06:44:25 AM
I'm trying to set the correct identifier value for pfs3ds in HDToolBox, I've selected "l: pfs3ds", entered 0x50445303 as the "DosType for File System" and the file system is now displayed as PDS\03.
Is that correct or should I be using 0x50465303 which displays PFS\03?
In this situation how important is it to have the correct identifier for pfs3ds as opposed to pfs3?

PDS\03 is correct for PFS3ds.

Actually it does not matter. It is only important if you want to use both, PFS3 and PFS3ds.

Thanks Thomas, I've been searching the Amiga >4GB HD topics for the last few weeks now and I've always found your posts on the subject helpful.
